Spectacular display of Northern Lights – October 10-11, 2024! I set up on Warrior Point, Pyramid Lake (Pyramid Lake Paiute Reservation, Nevada) around 6pm with an unobstructed view of the north end of the lake and the northern sky, with a setting moon behind me. Lights started about 7:30pm, with 3 major flareups between then and 2am, when I finally packed up and left. Two “pillars” of red lights remained on either side of me (west and east) for then entire 6+ hours, while the main show to the north waxed and waned.
