All-too-short eight days in the west and south of Iceland in October! We spent the first night just north of Reykjavik in Altanes after a quick tour of Grindavik and the Golden Circle, then two nights up the coast from Grundarfjordur on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Another night near Hella at Loa’s Nest, then two nights at The Potato Storage near Skaftafell park and Diamond Beach. After spending the day out in the town of Heimaey in the Vestmannaeyjar Islands off the south coast, we spent the last two nights at Hlid Fisherman’s Village on the Alftanes peninsula near Reykjavik.
